Adopt A Tree Program

The City is need of volunteer support in planting new trees.  In many cases trees can easily be planted in areas such as parks, trails, or even in the planting strips next to roadways. However, without water to these trees for a 3-5 establishment period the trees will not survive. The City's adopt a tree program allows residents to propose new trees on City property with a commitment to water these trees. Watering can often take place through using adjacent resident/business water or taking water to tree locations on a weekly basis. If you are interested in this program please contact Keri Russell, Maintenance Manager, at keri.russell@morganhill.ca.gov.

West Little Llagas Creek Trail Trees, Watsonville Road to Middle Avenue

The City is working on a specific project to find sponsors and volunteers to fund and/or support the installation of new trees and irrigation for the new trees on this new City trail. If you or your company is interested in supporting this effort contact Chris Ghione, Public Services Director, at Chris.Ghione@morganhill.ca.gov.

Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers and community groups are always encouraged to assist with projects that keep our community looking fresh and attractive. These activities can include graffiti removal, maintenance of downtown flower beds, and clearing out weeds / trash from creeks and channels.

Park Sponsorship and Donations
There are many park improvements, both large and small, that individuals, families and groups can purchase and donate to the community. Donations to the city are tax deductible.
