Volunteers are vital in helping to keep Morgan Hill's parks and public spaces looking fresh! The January 31 location is in the area of Butterfield Boulevard and the Caltrain parking lot. The City is hosting a series of informational sessions sharing details and engaging your input on the upcoming budget cycle process, which covers two fiscal years, 2026-2027 and 2027-2028. de Young Museum Image for Senior Center Day Trip Feb 2026Senior Center Hosts Day Trip to SF's de Young  Museum and Japanese Tea Garden, February 25

Enjoy a day trip to San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park with visits to the de Young Museum and the Japanese Tea Garden. Explore world-class art and architecture, then relax among peaceful gardens, koi ponds, and a traditional tea house. 

Trip Includes: Transportation, de Young and Tea Garden admissions, and travel staff. Please register early as space is limited. Minimum of 35 participants required by February 12 to prevent cancellation.  View program and registration info on the Senior Center Day Trip webpage.

CERT Logo Brighter GreenCommunity Emergency Response Team (CERT) Training, Next Session Starts March 13

CERT is a 20-hour training course that teaches how to respond to emergencies. Course topics and hands on training include emergency preparedness, fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, communications, damage assessment, disaster psychology, and disaster medical operations.

Recreation - Magical Bridge Playground

Economic Development

  • Sidewalk Saturdays hosts a local shopping, small-business retail market featuring handmade, crafted, and natural products in Downtown Morgan Hill. Stay tuned for more info about 2026 dates. 

Economic Mobility Programs & Events

Economic Mobility describes how economic status changes over time and describes the opportunity available to an individual. However, economic mobility is often more useful when used to assess the overall opportunity in a neighborhood, city, or state. The Housing team partners with outside agencies to promote programs and events designed to help individuals, neighborhoods, and our City.

  • HouseKeys is the City's affordable Housing program administrator. The agency assists first-time homebuyers and renters of Below Market Rate (BMR) housing in Morgan Hill. The City and HouseKeys host in-person visits at City Hall on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month. View program information and schedule a visit.

Bicycling and Walking 

Bicycling can be a fun, dependable, and virtually free mode of transportation. Once you discover the freedom, convenience, and fitness benefits of biking to any destination, you’ll wonder why you didn’t start riding sooner. There are many events and activities for enthusiasts to take advantage of. 

City Commissions

The City has three advisory commissions appointed by the City Council, and they periodically host community events. City commissions are the Library, Culture, and Arts Commission (LCAC); Parks and Recreation (PRC); and the Planning Commission.
