Request a Copy of a Police Report

  1. Application for Release of Information

    Government Code § 7920.000 – 7923.600 limits those who are eligible to receive copies of police reports or other police records. Please complete and submit this application to request information. We will process your request within ten business days of the officer completing the report or receipt of your application, whichever is greater, however we will make every effort to complete your request as soon as possible. The fee for a copy of a police report is $16 for the first 5 pages and $0.11 each additional page. Contact us to ask about fees for other documents.

    You will be required to provide a photo ID before receiving any documents.

    Once your documents have been prepared, you will receive an invoice via email, to be paid on-line, for any fees due. After both photo ID and payment have been received, the report will be emailed to you. If you prefer, you may pick up the report at the Police Department in person, show your ID, and pay any fees due at that time by stating your preference in advance, in the Involvement/Interest field below.
