  2. Submission Guidelines

    Let's flood social media with love, memories, art, music, and stories about Morgan Hill! Scroll below to check out which category is the best way for you to send your love letter. Follow the guidelines for whichever category you choose. You may choose more than one category.

    Categories are Visual Arts, Literature, Photography, Music Composition, Dance Choreography, and/or Film Production.

    You may upload your love letter files or send us a link to content already on your social media accounts.

    • Length: Single image or carousel of 2–4 images

    • Max: 150–200 words, social-media friendly

    Prompts:

    • Write a love note to a place that shaped you.
    • Tell us about the moment Morgan Hill felt like home.
    • Share a memory only a true MH local would know.

    Artist Statement:  "These words trace the paths I walked growing up—my love letter to the city that raised me."

  23. What to Submit:

    • Single photo or carousel, up to 5
    • Must feature MH landscapes, people, events, architecture, seasons, daily life

    Prompts:

    • What’s a snapshot of Morgan Hill you love?
    • What’s the beating heart of MH in your lens?

    Artist Statement:  "This image is a quiet moment of Morgan Hill—sunrise over the hills that start every day with hope."

  25. What to Submit:

    • 15–45 sec original piece
    • Can include lyrics
    • Audio or video

    Prompts:

    • Write a melody that sounds like Morgan Hill.
    • If MH had a soundtrack, what would it be?
    • Sing MH a love song.

    Sample Artist Statement:  "I composed this tune with the easy breeze and vineyard sunsets of Morgan Hill in mind."

  27. What to Submit:

    • 15–45 sec video
    • Solo, duo, or group
    • Any style — contemporary, ballet, hip-hop, jazz, lyrical, cultural dance

    Prompts:

    • Move with the rhythm of Morgan Hill.
    • Show us a dance inspired by one iconic MH place.
    • Your body is the pen. Dance us your love letter.

    Sample Artist Statement:  "This choreography mirrors the gentle rise of Morgan Hill’s hills and the energy of its community."

  29. What to Submit:

    • 15–60 sec micro-film
    • Documentary, narrative, animation, montage
    • Must capture a MH place, story, or person

    Prompts:

    • Tell a one-minute love story about MH.
    • Show us your Morgan Hill Valentine.
    • What makes this city unforgettable?

    Sample Artist Statement:  "This short film is my heart’s snapshot of Morgan Hill—its people, its history, its spirit."
