2. Your Code Enforcement Complaint will help us identify a problem within the City and take the necessary action to resolve it. If this is an immediate threat to life and/or safety, please call the Building Division directly at 408-778-6480, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. If this is an urgent matter after normal business hours, call the police department at 408-779-2101. Code enforcement complaints are addressed based on the level of severity. More severe cases such as fire hazards, exposed electrical wiring, sewage spills, damaged structures, or other unsafe situations will receive top priority. If this complaint involves construction in progress, please call the Building Division directly at 408-778-6480. Enforcement is often more effective if the violation can be addressed while the work is occurring.
