On June 3, 2009 the City Council of the City of Morgan Hill adopted Ordinance 8.48 related to requests for police response to burglar alarms. As a result of this revised ordinance additional requirements were placed on alarm owners and alarm companies. The ordinance has been reviewed by and is supported by the California Alarm Association and the Silicon Valley Alarm Association.
All alarm owners are now required to register their burglar alarm systems and renew the registration annually. In October 2014 we transitioned to a new False Alarm Management company, PMAM.
